Especially designed for those with fluctuating bodies, these effortless culottes look cool and feel comfortable, to bring some joy to your outfit even on days when you might not be feeling the best in your skin.

One of the most comfortable, breathable trousers you’ll ever own. Made from 100% cotton, our cropped culottes feature a relaxed wide-leg, helping you keep as cool as if you were wearing shorts, even if you don’t want your legs out. The elasticated waist and adjustable front tie creates a flattering fit while allowing extra comfort and no digging in around the tummy area.

Chic enough to wear all day, comfy enough to sleep in all night, there a reason we’re constantly told by customers “I live in my Periodicals”.

Please note that unlike our shorts and trousers, we removed the pockets from these culottes, to stop the extra fabric from creating an unflattering silhouette (sticking out on the hips).

All prints are hand-drawn by Roma in her London studio and brought to life in Jaipur by skilled artisan makers using traditional screen-printing techniques. Produced in small batches as part of Periodical’s slow approach to fashion, each piece is thoughtfully made with comfort, sustainability, and effortless everyday wear in mind.

We offer internation shipping all over the world.

If your order is to be delivered outside the UK, it may attract import duty and local sales taxes which customers will need to pay on receipt of the shipment. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase.

If you are in any way unhappy with your goods you may send them back for an exchange or a full refund, excluding postage.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to return it.

To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

When you return goods, please retain the proof of posting from your shipper as without this we cannot be responsible for any items that fail to reach us.

Unfortunately, we cannot refund or exchange used or customer damaged items (statutory rights not affected).

We aim to fulfil all orders placed before midday the next working day.

We offer Standard Tracked Delivery (same as Free Delivery for all orders over £100) which will be sent out with Royal Mail 2nd Class Delivery and generally takes 3-5 working days. We also offer an Express Delivery (Royal Mail Tracked 24 Hours), which generally arrives 1-2 days after being sent out.

International shipping times vary depending on location, please get in touch if you'd like more information.

All of our styles are in a relaxed, loose fit. If you are between sizes, customers usually find they can size down and still have a comfortable fit, especially in our jumpsuits. You can find our UK/EU/US size chart here.

Our ranges are made from 100% cotton. The cotton we use has an open weave, which makes it very breathable and gives it a lovely texture - giving it a similar appearance to linen (without creasing as much!)

We design all the fabrics ourself, in our London-based studio and they are all screen printed on the cotton in small batches and often limited runs.

Yes, everything is machine-washable at 30 degrees or cooler.
