All our fabric prints are hand-drawn by Roma in her London studio, then brought to life in Jaipur, where artisan makers screen-print each piece as part of the Periodical small-batch, slow-fashion range. Roma started the brand while searching for clothing that looked cool but also felt comfortable during her period, as she suffers from bad period pains. Getting dressed sometimes felt overwhelming, and she didn’t want to rely on baggy t-shirts and tracksuit bottoms—especially when working (managing her friend’s vegan cafe). After not finding daywear as comfortable as pyjamas, she decided to design her own pieces to bring a little joy to getting dressed.
